About
FaceRead is a Korean skincare and K-beauty blog, written in plain English. The idea is simple: read your face — figure out your skin type and concerns — and find the Korean products and routines that actually work for it. Everything here is based on first-hand testing, not paid hype.
Who's writing this?
I'm Deokgi Kim, and I live in Korea — where K-beauty actually comes from. I started FaceRead because most English-language K-beauty content is either recycled marketing or "10 best products" lists no one actually used. My goal is the opposite: honest, specific guides based on products I can find and test here, with real photos.
What you'll find here
- Skincare routines — the Korean routine explained, by skin type.
- Product picks & reviews — what's worth buying (and what's overhyped).
- K-beauty explained — ingredients, trends, and how to shop Olive Young.
A note on honesty & affiliate links
Some links on this site may be affiliate links — if you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what I recommend: I only suggest things I'd genuinely use. Formulas and prices change, so if you spot anything out of date, please tell me on the contact page.
